Why I Enjoy Assisting Clients with Resumes and Cover Letters

Why I Enjoy Assisting Clients with Resumes and Cover Letters Sometimes people ask me why I enjoy helping others with their resumes and cover letters. The truth is, I just love helping people when they are at a crossroads in their lives. Mainly, my focus is on the following groups: Recent graduates seeking a position in their new career Unemployed individuals who wish to re-enter the workforce Those who are employed and seek a new challenge The process goes something like this: the person contacts me about the resume, we meet in-person or via e-mail, a resume is created and sent as a proof, changes are made if necessary, and the client receives a finished copy via Microsoft Word and a PDF. After I assist someone with this important process, I also like to work with them on potential interview questions and can even conduct a mock interview. The best feeling for me: when someone lets me know that the resume I have created assisted them in landing the perfect job. Check out the testimonial below from a previous client: “When I decided I needed some help with my resume, I contacted Heather. I was sending my old resume out and receiving no calls. After Heather stepped in  to revamp it and polish it up, I received calls for interviews. After two weeks of deciding which job I wanted, I put in my 2 week notice and was off to a new career move. Heather was very professional and creative; she made my resume really stand out. Thanks, Heather!”   Dianna H.  So, why do I do what I do? The answer is in the client testimonial above: because I love it and enjoy knowing that I am assisting people reach their career goals.
